Patterson Cheney Trucks is a leading name in automotive with over 50 years trust in the heavy-duty truck industry and is proud to officially open their new dealership in Pakenham.

The new dealership is situated at the corner of McGregor Rd and Southeast Blvd, with direct entry from Princess Highway.

Patterson Cheney Trucks Pakenham is proud to be the first truck dealership to open in the region.

The new site will complement their well-established Keysborough dealership and help cater to the burgeoning growth corridor of the South East.

Patterson Cheney General Manager John Elliot said the Melbourne-based automotive group was thriving in-line with market demand.

“The population of Cardina Shire has seen significant growth and we believe Pakenham will become a business hub for the greater south-east.”

“Patterson Cheney is looking forward to helping support all the local businesses and become a one-stop-shop for all your truck needs.

We want the new establishment in Pakenham to take things to a new level, both with new and existing customers set to enjoy the benefits”, Mr Elliot said.

The new facility will provide customers with a comprehensive experience, encompassing sales, service, parts, and support, all conveniently located under one roof.

Covering an area of 12,143 square meters, the site features a spacious workshop equipped with 12 truck bays, 26-meter service pits—one fitted with play detector shaker plates—an inground roller brake tester, and a full-length overhead gantry crane.

Additionally, a dual wash bay, complete with a drive-over and underbody truck washer, is positioned adjacent to the workshop.

The facility will also showcase genuine parts and accessories in a spacious 260-square-meter warehouse, complete with a mezzanine level and a 60-square-meter parts showroom.

Customers can enjoy a premium experience with the convenience of a driveway service drop-off and a fully equipped, exclusive customer lounge.

The Leader of the Liberal Party Brad Battin and Mayor Jack Kowarzik was also on hand to officially open the new dealership.

Both Brad and Jack spoke about the growth in the Cardina Shire and the need for more mechanics and opportunities for locals to be part of the next generation of apprentices.

The opening of Patterson Cheney will help boost local businesses around Cardina.

John Elliot echoed those sentiments “The Pakenham branch is expected to employ an additional 45 automotive, service and parts personnel for the Patterson Cheney group.

“Patterson Cheney has proudly provided not just employment opportunities over the years but has ensured many people have long and storied careers in the automotive sector,”.

“We will continue to do this at our Pakenham dealership, operating with a highly experienced team, and will continue to focus on creating a pathway for the next generation of employees.

The heavy vehicle business is dynamic—with the right facility and people, we know that Patterson Cheney will continue to set high standards”

The new site and expansion will cater for all brands including Isuzu, Western Star, MAN and Dennis Eagle customers.

Patterson Cheney will provide any support or servicing to any truck manufacturer ensuring the dealership will cater to our broad range of commercial customers.
