Located in the Murrindindi Shire, Fineblade Civil Constructions - established in 1997 - employ a highly skilled team of local people including: site supervisors, machine operators, landscapers & labourers. Fineblade specialise in road construction, earthworks, concreting, landscaping, traffic management and quarry cartage.
Director Paul Renouf takes a hands-on approach in this business. Paul is supported by his wife Louise who manages the office as well as the traffic management arm of the business. Paul and Louise have six children and the family is very involved in the community. Paul and Louise proudly support the local community wherever possible, including being on committees and donating traffic management for local events and supporting local sports associations.
Paul says, “there is really not much the company can’t do; we provide a variety of services and with the skills and experience we have in house, we do them well.”
“Fineblade are certified in OHS, Environmental and Quality Management, and are pre-qualified with VicRoads for Traffic Management, this ensures our clients are getting a professional service,” Paul went on to say.
Fineblade Civil Constructions has an impressive array of projects on its resume. “Fineblade have completed numerous projects for all of the local Shires, Hedger Constructions and Downer as well as private clients. Projects such as the Eildon Town Centre Rejuvenation, GhinGhin Bridge, Mt Beauty Town Centre, Thorton Golf Course, Little River Rejuvenation, Yarck Streetscape, Yarck Bridge Renewal, Mansfield Road re-construction projects, to mention a few,” says Paul.
Fineblade has two Western Star trucks in their fleet. The trucks in use are Quad Dog’s, set up as Tippers. Paul’s own background was in logging - this is where he first realised the strength and durability of the Western Star brand: “They stood up to the tough Australian conditions,” he praised.
Fineblade has an excellent relationship with Lima South Quarry. Most days of the week you can see the Fineblade Western Star quad dog trucks up and down the highways carting product from the quarry.
Paul praised the Western Stars saying, “not only do they look great but they are reliable and perform well. They are very comfortable and our drivers are happy to be driving them”. He went on to say that there have been “minimal dramas, overall they have been fantastic trucks, so far so good.”
Paul allows the drivers to add plenty of accessories, bling and “whatever they want” to the trucks to ensure they are happy. In return, the drivers take a lot of pride in their trucks and ensure that they are well maintained. As a result, the Fineblade trucks stand out and project a positive image out on the road.
Paul can’t praise Patterson Cheney and its staff enough. Paul said, “Bob Fuerst and Neil Richardson (Richie) are awesome to deal with. Any issue we’ve had has been dealt with quickly, and they have always delivered on time. Quite simply, they do a great job; I really can’t praise them enough”, he concluded.
